Hello. Question: is it possible to join a pipe in one circuit of a warm floor (for pouring concrete) if there is not enough length? If possible, then how to do it? Is there a standard for the number of connections in one circuit? Thank.

Hello. If the pipes could not be joined, it would be a disaster for many owners of the underfloor heating system. During repair work in the room, often these pipes are punched and in order not to open the entire screed, the breakdown place is disassembled and repaired using a butt joint. And it is allowed by GOST, by the way.

You can use different methods, but most often use compression fittings for this.

    Pipe crimping tools:

    1. Collet expander.
    2. Press fitting.
    3. Hand press.

    Installation Order:

    1. Put on the pipe sleeve, ring press fitting.
    2. The pipe is pulled by a collet expander.
    3. Insert a fitting into this end.
    4. Pull the same ring that we previously put on the pipe, crimp with a hand press.

It is recommended to use fittings and pipes of the same manufacturer and put on the corrugation at the junction. But in general, it is undesirable to make joints, the heating loop of a warm floor in a single design is much more reliable, especially since its cost is not so great.
