How will the sprinkler affect the submersible pump with a direct connection?
Good morning. I have a 90 meter submersible pump. Can a sprinkler or spray gun be connected directly to the pump? Will the narrowed entrance to the gun create an additional load on the pump? Thank.

Good afternoon, Stella.
All elements, pump parts are designed for specific technological conditions of work, which are displayed by graphic characteristics. Combined graphs of pressure, flow, efficiency, electrical power attached to the answer. Within the limits given there, nothing will happen to the pump - because the curves of changes in the characteristics are obtained by periodic testing of the pump. It must withstand extreme modes that are possible during operation.
I warn you right away - do not be embarrassed that the pressure curve (H, m) is limited to 40 units. Similar curves have graphs of any pumps.
Now I will pass on to the loads experienced by the pump when it runs on a narrowed output - in other words, its performance decreases. On graphs, productivity is laid off along the horizontal axis (Q, l / s - liters / second). As you can see, the drop in productivity is accompanied by a slight increase in pressure (H). Even the leftmost pressure point does not threaten the pump with mechanical damage.
Now we look at the electric power curve (N, watt). You will be surprised, but a decrease in productivity - figuratively speaking, you pinch the hose outlet with your finger - causes a decrease in power consumption. That is, a direct connection to the spray gun does not threaten the motor.
On the graphs there is a vertical straight line Qн - it corresponds to the rated load of the pump when it operates with the best energy performance. Pump manufacturers usually install automation that keeps performance in the area where this line passes - the area is called the work area. Outside the zone, the pump shuts off the automation. What pump, automation you have, you did not write - I cannot describe the reaction of your automation for this reason.
