Good afternoon! Given that you have a screed thickness of 200 mm and you will use Penoplex 50 mm, then, in my opinion, you can safely use standard dowels (“fungi”) 160 mm long. As you know, 16 centimeter dowels will not damage your waterproofing in any way. You can use the same “fungi” to attach the mesh. By the way, Penoplex can not be fixed on the floor in any way - this allows the technology, the plates are mounted end-to-end and do not move.
