The plot is surrounded on 5 sides! Where to divert water?
Hello! The situation is very difficult. The bottom line is:
- The site is surrounded on three sides by SNT neighbors, and along the fourth (frontal) border there is a road (local, and then the highway), there is no frontal ditch both for me and for the neighbors;
- Groundwater level - very high: “minus” 0.5-0.3 m; a fertile layer of 0.4 m, and then medium and heavy loam; water in the test pits has been standing for three weeks and does not go into the ground;
- The plot is almost flat, with a slope of 20 cm by 35 m (i.e. approximately 0.006).
A house is planned for permanent residence, a family of 4-5 people, water consumption is very large (everyone loves a bath). I will put VOCs, so the water discharge will be clean, but a lot. The main question is where to divert water?
So far, all that has come up with is to dig a ditch along the two borders of its site. But where will the water go from the ditch: if it does not go into the ground, then it will not leave the ditch? But there are no other water reservoirs (lake, river or ravine, field).

Good afternoon, Ivan. At the moment, the rate of soil water absorption is not entirely objective. The test is carried out in early spring and it is necessary to consider how much snow fell this year. It is important how the melting occurred, if the plus temperature sharply went up, additionally taking into account the composition of the soil, then the natural absorption can not cope.
Let's look at what options are there.
1. The method of arranging the boundary around the perimeter of the site may be suitable for you. The boundary is a small ditch with a width and depth of 20 cm. Organize the sewage system in this way: from the septic tank, the treated effluents enter the filtering well (taking into account possible problems, provide for the installation of a large capacity tank), and install another drainage pump in the well itself. Scheme in the first figure in the attached photo.
From the boundary, water not only goes into the ground, but evaporates and erodes. The task of the pump: to remove water from the well if it is filled between. Judging by the photograph, the plot is large and this arrangement method should cope.
2. Option with 100% result. As I understand it, there is a gutter in SNT, and you indicate the path to it. It will be efficient to lay a closed drainage to the existing ditch. The neighbors in this case most likely will not mind, because the pipe will go underground (see the second figure).
Another advantage of the closed drainage ditch is its performance all year round. Taking into account the year-round living of five people, this is the best option. However, for the arrangement it will be necessary to take equipment and carry out serious earthwork. A Bobcat will cope with the task, there is no need to hire a full-fledged excavator.
The arrangement diagram in Figure 3. Inspection wells are necessary to check for blockage and its cleaning. They should also have a pipe rupture for cleaning in case of clogging. The pipe must be asbestos or reinforced concrete in order to withstand the load from the soil and vehicles.

In any case, I recommend to arrange a boundary. This is an effective method to drain the site. To get rid of the problem of high groundwater, it will be especially relevant in the spring during snowmelt.
