After flushing the toilet, the valve does not close and water continues to flow
Greetings! I have installed the “mepa” installation. When the drain button is pressed, water is released. In some cases, everything is normal and after the descent, the water is washed off, the valve closes, and the tank starts to fill up. In unsuccessful cases, the valve does not close, and the water continues to flow, flow and flow.
The drain button is gently pressed and it does not feel that a drain mechanism is connected to it. If you quickly press it several times, the valve closes and the water stops flowing out and starts filling the tank. What needs to be done in this situation to solve this problem?

This is a very common problem when the rubber (silicone) seal of the stop valves of the drain barrel loses its properties and passes water.
The first and simplest solution is to dismantle the valves, remove the seal and put it in boiling water. This will restore the properties of the seal and water from the barrel will not leak. The method is simple, but temporary, after a while the problem will return. Therefore, most likely you will still need to purchase a new seal and its subsequent replacement.
