Good afternoon! bought in Leroy Merlin Orange Oscar M56-211cr single lever bath / shower mixer. On the box it says - Germany, Russian assembly.

Tell me - is this really a German brand? Or a fake? They have a website, but only in Russian, the telephone indicated on the website is not available. All this leads to suspicion. Could you advise? Regards, Yuri.

The mechanics are simple: a Russian company in Germany registers a brand (trademark), and in this sense, everything is true - the brand is really German. Then, goods from China, declared as components (as a rule, already finished, fully assembled products), are delivered to Russia.
Here they are reissued and sold as “assembled in Russia” and sold under the German brand owned by the Russian importer. From a legal point of view - everything is legal.
An example is the iPhone: the brand is American, and is made in China. At the same time, fake is not considered.
