Often in the description of vibration pumps there is the position “immersion depth”. For example 4 meters. Is it from the water level in the well / well?

I use a pump in the well. It happens that the flow drops the water level, but the pump still remains submerged. Or initially I was lowering the pump to a level of say 10 meters. What does this affect? Why is this restriction set?

Hello. I understand the essence of your question, I will try to answer it as simple and as detailed as possible. Let's look at an example of the simplest model of a submersible vibration pump "Trickle". As you can see, on the equipment itself it is written that the maximum immersion depth is 3m.
The countdown is made from the surface of the water, if the pump is immersed to a greater depth, it may not work correctly or completely fail, since the pump is not designed for water pressure, which will be below the 3m mark.
As for the immersion depth relative to the bottom, the whole point here is the type of water intake, which is implemented in your model of a submersible vibration pump:
- for the upper water intake, the distance to the bottom should be at least 30 cm;
- for the lower water intake - at least 1 m.
