What film to choose for the outdoor pool with thermal water?
Good afternoon. I have an outdoor pool in Kamchatka with thermal water. The film lasted 4 years and became unusable.
Tell me, is there a better cover for the pool in such conditions? Please advise a company that can fly with its equipment and carry out the reconstruction of the pool. Thanks in advance!

Hello. From your question it is not clear which liner you used - single-layer, multi-layer or butyl rubber. If the first type, then this is a budget option, the warranty period is only 6 years. So if the film was made by an unscrupulous manufacturer, it is not surprising that in 4 years it has worn out, especially since its frost resistance is very low.
The multilayer liner resembles linoleum with a thickness of 1.5 mm, as in the attached photo. Structurally, the film is two layers of PVC with a fabric layer between them. All of them are interconnected by welding. If you purchase such a film, pay attention to the manufacturer. A good reinforced film produces Elbtal (Germany), AlkorPlan (Belgium).
If you have a large pool, a butyl rubber membrane is suitable for this. It is resistant to all kinds of damage, to sharp temperature changes, elastic (photo # 2).
When choosing a liner should take into account the depth of the tank. For a pool up to 2 m deep, you can take a film with a minimum thickness of 0.5 mm, for a larger depth - at least 1 cm, and if the geometry is also complex, take 1.5 cm film.
All methods of waterproofing pools are described in this article on our website.
Regarding the company, I can recommend one that has all the necessary equipment and materials for the reconstruction of pools. It is located in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and is called PoolStroi.
