Can I extend the duct of the floor air conditioner and connect it to the ceiling ventilation?
Good afternoon. Please tell me whether it is possible to extend the duct of the floor air conditioner and connect it to the ceiling ventilation (height 3 meters). Will overloads complicate the operation of the device? Thanks for answers.

Hello! Manufacturers of cooling monoblocks do not recommend extending the factory corrugation due to the increased load on the compressor, which leads to a decrease in power and premature wear of equipment.
In practice, lengthening the corrugation by 1-2 meters, as a rule, slightly affects the performance of the air conditioner, especially if the duct does not have sharp bends and passes in a straight line. When lengthening the corrugated pipe to 1 meter, it is better to use a pipe with the same diameter as the factory one for building. When lengthening by more than 1 meter, a stackable pipe with a smaller diameter than the main one should be preferred. This will compensate for pressure loss. For connecting pipes, special adapters are used. If possible, to reduce heat loss, it is better not to increase the length of the corrugation, but completely replace it with a longer one.
The removal of hot air from the mobile air conditioner to the ventilation system is possible subject to the following conditions:
1) the length of the air outlet does not exceed 5-6 meters;
2) the diameters of ventilation and corrugated pipes are the same, which allows you to create a tight mount;
3) the most important thing - ventilation is in good condition, regularly serviced and cleaned.
Good luck
