Air conditioner quiescent current
A friend set the air conditioning, everything works fine. I also wanted to, but here's the problem: when it is turned off, it takes a current of 0.5A all the time. Is it normal?

Hello. I also conducted my experiment regarding what is at home and how much it consumes from the equipment in “sleep mode”. The circuit turned out to be + -50 kW / h per month, for comfort, as they say, you have to pay.
As for the consumption of the air conditioner itself in “sleep mode”: in modern air conditioners and split systems, a special compressor heating system is provided, approximately 40-50 W, plus two boards of 15-20 W each, plus some losses. There are also errors in the measurement, for example, with the help of ticks or looked at the counter indicators?
An induction hob has approximately the same 0.5A during rest. For such a technique, this is a normal indicator, you have nothing to worry about.
