Questions on the specifics of auger well drilling
When drilling with a screw for an Abyssinian well, it is recommended to install a casing along the course of drilling. But in this case, the diameter of the casing must be larger than the diameter of the screw, otherwise you will not be able to pull it out. That is, the size of the casing is larger than the size of the well. What is the installation technology in this case?

Hello! Auger drilling can be used on any type of soil, including quicksand. Drilling with the simultaneous installation of casing pipes is used, as a rule, on unbound soils.
If this is exactly your case, then you can perform auger drilling in one of three ways:
1) The auger is inside the pipe. Drilling is carried out by auger, and the casing is deposited in the well. The second, third, etc. are mounted on top of the pipe. until the desired depth is reached. Then the auger is removed. For effective passage of the first pipe on the lower part, it is recommended to make a cutting crown. The method is suitable for medium density soils.
2) Drilling with two screws. For drilling a well, a screw is used, the diameter of which is larger than the casing. After removing the drilling device, casing pipes are installed, and inside them, a screw is drilled with a diameter smaller than the casing. This method is used for manual drilling, when it is not possible to drill and pipe pipes at the same time.
3) Special pipes with screw thread. More recently, steel pipes have appeared on sale, on the body of which there is a screw thread (photo below). Such pipes play the role of auger and casing at the same time, thereby reducing the amount of drilling work.
