Why do we need holes in the well pipe above the filter?
Good day! There is a well h = 30 m, a single pipe system, pipes - plastic. Above the factory filter (stainless steel mesh), ~ 20 holes d = 12 mm were drilled. For what purpose - it is not clear. There is no connection with the performers. Water is normal at the moment.
I heard that they were made specifically so that the high-end did not fall into the second level, but is it really so? Why did they do it? Thanks in advance for the answers.

Hello. Judging by your description, we are talking about technological holes that are designed to exclude the penetration of the overhead into the well. The first level is just the top, the second level is artesian water.
At the end of the pipe of the first level (top), technical holes are made, as well as a winding of dense fabric, which will act as a filter. In some cases, special disinfecting filters are used, this already depends on the situation on the ground.
