Error Codes 01 - 08

Errors from 01 to 03 indicate that the control system does not see the flame or blocked the ignition - in advance or after starting.

Code 01 - no flame. Follow the steps in the list, and if nothing changes, go on to the points below:

  1. Open the gas tap to the maximum.
  2. Bleed the air from the heating system.
  3. Inspect the ground. The wire could lose its integrity, or it was laid incorrectly. Re-ground to a depth of 30 cm or more.
  4. Compare the gas pressure in the boiler with the indicator in the instructions. If there is a discrepancy, call gas specialists.
  5. Check the integrity of the ignition wire and its power source.
  6. Eliminate soot and dirt from the boiler burner.
  7. Also clean the ignition and control electrodes. They are going to soot and soot. Set the electrodes in the correct position according to the instructions if the tilt has changed. Check if they work at all.
  8. Verify that the gas valve and photocell of the flame detection system are working. Replace items with new ones if necessary.
  9. Check the circuit board, connections, and wires that are suitable for it. Replace if necessary.

Code 02 - a false flame or its defect. Check and, if necessary, replace the photocell of the flame monitoring system. Replace the board if it is broken and cannot be repaired.

Check it for oxidation, open circuit, short circuit. The burner nozzles could contaminate the electrodes. Clean them and put them in the correct position.

Code 03 - the flame appears and disappears within a short time. Ring the flame sensor and replace the faulty device. Check the pressure on the pressure gauge. Contact the gas service if the indicator is outside the norm.

The problem may be in ventilation. Open windows and doors, inspect the built-in ventilation channels of the room. The error remains - check the external condition of the boiler fan and determine the resistance with a multimeter. The device could break. Also look into the chimney and remove all dirt.

Code 04 - The temperature sensor of the heating element is not working properly. Inspect the wires suitable for the sensor. Connect the torn wires and strip the oxidized contacts. Ring the sensor for an open or short circuit. Inspect the control board. If something happens, contact the service where they are professionally repairing gas boilers of the Kiturami brand - they are repaired in many services in Russian cities. Code 05 - breakdown of the overheating sensor. Call the seismic sensor if it is in your boiler. Replace as needed, but do not clean. Check also the overheating indicator itself. Determine the pressure in the system and add water if the indicator drops. Take a look at the heat exchanger. If there is excess scale, clean the assembly.

Code 06 - a malfunction in the fan - it is not possible to determine its speed.

To fix the error, you will need to take seven steps:

  1. Inspect the wires that go to the fan. Strip if oxidized. Repair broken contacts.
  2. Assess the condition of the fan blades. In case of noticeable wear, buy a new device.
  3. If the differential relay connections stick (including after sticking), replace the unit.
  4. Make sure that the mains voltage matches the desired value. If not, install a transformer and uninterruptible power supply.
  5. Free the chimney from everything else.
  6. Inspect the fan rotation mechanism.
  7. Check Hall sensor.

Replace all unsuitable components.

Code 07 - problems with the chimney. The likely cause is that the fan / supercharger speed is above or below normal. Inspect the unit, remove foreign objects. At the same time clean the chimney from dirt and condensation.

An error pops up due to gusts of wind. If the problem appears often, you will have to change the pattern of the pipe. You need to design taking into account the wind rose.

Code 08 - a problem with the room temperature controller. An error appears when communication with the boiler control unit is interrupted. Code 08 will pop up if the regulator wire is longer than 10 meters. The temperature controller cables are sometimes affected by telephone and high voltage wires.

First of all, turn off the regulator and check the operation of the boiler. If all is well, try first finding a different place for the thermostat and turn it on again. Route the temperature sensor cable again and correctly if nothing has changed. Avoid placing in pipes under the floor.

Error Codes 14 - 98

Let's start with similar errors - 14 and 34.

Code 14 - malfunction of the hot water outlet temperature meter. Look for a problem in the sensor itself and its wire.

DHW temperature sensor
After the failure of the DHW sensor (hot water supply), the boiler will continue to heat the housing, and regulation and maintenance of the temperature of the running water becomes impossible

Code 95 - indicates low boiler pressure / heating system, i.e. lack of coolant (usually water).

Proceed as follows:

  1. See if there is water in the boiler and what pressure is in the heating circuit.
  2. Check and clean the filters if necessary.
  3. Look for leaks in the heating pipes and radiators. Then, in the expansion tank and heat exchanger, repair leaks.
  4. Take a look at the expansion tank membrane. Replace if stretched or too dirty.
  5. Add water to normal pressure.
  6. Inspect and repair the air valve on the pipe through which the coolant enters the heating system.

Code 96 - the temperature indicator went off. The temperature rose above the permissible 92 ... 97 ° C. The boiler will operate in emergency mode until the temperature drops. When the error disappears, restart the device.

Eliminate the cause of the temperature jump:

  1. Wash the heat exchanger from scale.
  2. Check and replace if necessary circulation pump.
  3. Ring the thermostat. Buy a new one if repair is not possible.
  4. Do the same with the board.

Code 97 - possible leak of gas. Near the burner natural gas could escape. Stop the gas supply to the boiler and turn it off. Call the gas emergency service. Error 97 may also appear due to the fact that air has accumulated in the system.

Code 98 pops up on liquid fuel appliances. Indicates an insufficient level of energy in the fuel tank.

Problems in the operation of Kiturami boilers

Not all problems have their own code, so let's consider them separately.

Indicator is off "Network" - Check the power at the outlet and the fuse on the ignition transformer. If there is no voltage in the mains, call an electrician; if there is, call the service.

The insufficient water indicator on the control unit is on - there is no water in the device or the level is too low. Damage to the black boiler wire and the red sensor cable also leads to a malfunction.

The room temperature sensor works fine, but the radiators are cold - the circulation pump does not accelerate the coolant through the pipes or does it too weakly. Inspect the shut-off parts on the heating pipes. Check the pump itself.

  1. Set the stop valves on the heating pipes.
  2. The strainer may need to be cleaned. Inspect it.
  3. Check the circulation pump, repair or replace if necessary.

The pump has been operating for too long. The water temperature indicator constantly lights up on the control unit - the heating system is not working properly or air jams have occurred in it. Bleed the air.

The boiler began to heat up longer - look for a problem with the gas pressure and the condition of the filters.

The burner vibrates when it is turned on - the size of the chimney is not enough for a normal exhaust gas.
