Is it possible to combine a one-pipe heating system with a two-pipe?
Greetings! I wanted to know if it is possible to connect radiators in a combined way? The first 10 radiators are connected via a two-pipe system, and the last 4 - via a single-pipe on the second floor. The question is, will they heat normally?

Good day. In general, a single heat source only supports one heating circuit. And in your case, only two-pipe will be heated.
Theoretically, I heard about this, one craftsman on 2 circuits with separate pumps for both systems, created a project for such heating. But he did not begin to implement it, since the efficiency of such a device is extremely doubtful, especially since in his version it was planned to actively use balancing valves with childish control - in the daytime, start the two-pipe with one-pipe covered, and at night, vice versa.
I believe that in such a serious system as heating, it is better to use proven and recommended schemes.
